Targeted audience
With this e-prescription integration, doctors can issue digital e-prescriptions - simply and in compliance with the law. Pharmacies can automatically record and validate e-prescriptions scanning the QR code. Doctors and pharmacies can use the service as part of a HIN membership. This guide is aimed at software providers of information systems that are used in pharmacies, doctors' offices and clinics.

Prerequisites
The following conditions must be met before you can start integrating the e-prescription functionality into your system.
IMPORTANT
A signed contract "HIN applications". Further information on this can be found at: https://www.hin.ch/hin-mitgliedschaft/hin-anwendungen/primaersysteme/
You have received a "client id" and a "client secret" for the e-prescription application. The "client id" must support the authorization flow (not the client credential flow, device IDs are excluded).
You have notified HIN of the "redirect_uri(s)" (support@hin.ch)
You are in possession of at least one test ID. This can be ordered via the following link: https://www.hin.ch/de/info/test-id-bestellen.cfm When ordering the test ID, please indicate that the e-prescription is to be tested in the test environment.
The issuer of an e-prescription must have a valid HIN ID, have set the profession of doctor and have presented an identity verified by HIN.
Pharmacists can use both their personal and team identity.
